Peter Xu

Managing Partner

Peter’s investment focus is primarily on consumer applications and artificial intelligence. He also helps with fundraising for Elysium. Prior to joining Elysium, Peter was the youngest team member of the first hedge fund founded by a team of senior managers sent by George Soros to Asia. The global macro hedge fund makes investments predominantly in foreign exchange markets.

Peter led alternative investments at Galaxy Group, a large-scale comprehensive investment group, with five major business groups: investment management, real estate, commerce, technology acceleration, and industrial operations.

Nikolai Oreshkin

Managing Partner

Nikolai’s investment interests and entrepreneurial experience are in FinTech, Blockchain, Deep Learning, and Mobile start-ups. Over the last seven years, Nikolai Oreshkin has been involved in over fifty cross-border and venture transactions, including cross-border and mergers/acquisitions valued at more than USD $2.5 billion.

Prior to moving to Silicon Valley, Nikolai founded a private internet service provider and was one of the first entrepreneurs who offered internet access to the people of Belarus. Nikolai was also heavily featured in promoting the use of internet messengers and social networks in Eastern Europe.

Eric Ly

Venture Partner

Eric co-founded LinkedIn with several other Stanford colleagues, serving as its founding Chief Technology Officer. LinkedIn became the world’s largest professional network with more than 500 million users.

He is passionate about combining innovative products, technologies and business models to create highly successful companies. Hub has been his passion for the last couple of years, with a mission to create consumer Internet products that have wide appeal to everyday users.

Eugene Nevgen

Entrepreneur-in-Residence

Eugene was a co-founder of MSQRD, which was acquired by Facebook in 2016.

Previously, Eugene held the leading role in product and growth at Facebook. Currently, he is the Investor & Board Director at Flo Health.

William O’Brien

Venture Partner

Will is an entrepreneur and investor in Silicon Valley, with expertise in blockchain, data and analytics, fintech, and gaming. Will is a seasoned technology executive with a proven track record of scaling organizations, managing corporate financing, and structuring strategic partnerships.

He has founded three companies and contributed to the successful exit of five companies, collectively worth more than $1 billion in returned capital. He is also an active investor and adviser for 70-plus early-stage startups and foundational tokens.

Sherry Xu

Investor

Prior to joining Elysium, Sherry worked at several top-tier investment banks and wealth management companies both in Asia and the U.S.

Sherry has experience in diverse professional areas, including science and finance. With a focus on consumer technologies and especially femtech, Sherry brings her unique angle to Elysium’s investment team.

Vadim Romanov

Investment Analyst

Vadim joined Elysium as an analyst in 2018. He is actively engaged in portfolio coverage and helps with screening for new investment opportunities.

Prior to that, he worked at a top-tier investment fund and bank in Russia, focusing on financial and commercial due diligence. Vadim holds a master’s degree in International Business and Disruptive Innovation from Hult International Business School.

Ziyan Lou

Investor

Prior to joining Elysium, Ziyan was a part of the Cambridge Family Office Group, helping families, family businesses and family offices manage and maintain their wealth throughout many generations.

Ziyan focuses on international business and partnerships. She was the head of partnerships for Baofoo Internet Technology. Ziyan is focused on business development and global expansion for Elysium’s portfolio companies. Previously, she worked at top-tier companies focusing on the financial and global markets. Ziyan holds an MBA at Cornell University and Tsinghua University.

Wallace Chen

Head of Corporate Partnerships

Wallace has more than 10 years of experience in cross-border business development and management. He focuses on helping technology companies expand operations into China, then drives their localization and monetization processes.

Prior to Elysium, he held leading roles as Deputy General Manager at DJI with a focus on leading global marketing and driving U.S. sales for DJI.

Roman Sobachevskiy

Investor

Roman has closed 40 venture deals in the last three years, and also serves on the board of directors for two unicorn companies.

Prior to joining Elysium, Roman has built two successful e-commerce companies and worked in IT consulting. Roman holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business.

Jiarun Chen

Associate

Jia joined Elysium Venture Capital in 2018. Based in the Peninsula, Jia focuses on data-driven, early-stage companies, and international partnerships. He comes from a background of deploying B2B companies to market. His passion is in enabling operational excellence in early-stage data-driven startups.

He has managed growth marketing and communications strategies for Datawallet, a B2C marketplace that supported $40M in acquired funding. Jia also advises on go-to-market strategy and product marketing for companies like Cohabit Labs, the co-living marketplace for optimized living.

Jackie Chen

Associate

Jackie primarily focuses on consumer technology companies. He comes from a background in corporate global partnerships.

Jackie also participated in the setting up of the first Chinese technology media in Silicon Valley and thus allows him to bring the PR and marketing resources to portfolio companies.

Younger

Fundraising, deal sourcing and consulting.

Younger is keen on fostering innovations with solid business logic and has a special interest in cross-industry, cross-border ideas.

As a serial problem solver, Younger has over ten years of hands-on experience in technology, business, and traditional sectors, in both the US and China.

Katerina Antonova

PR and Communications Partner

Kate is an expert in public relations and strategic communications. She helps Elysium’s portfolio companies to increase exposure and cover their success stories globally. She co-founded a PR boutique agency Aeris PR which helps develop brand awareness for startups in the US, Russia, Europe, and Asia via media coverages in Forbes, TechCrunch, Entrepreneur, and other top business media.
